Ending the “paper check chase” with innovative processing solutions that save you time and money.
Electric Checks began operations in 1999 after a new rule from the Automated Clearing House (ACH) allowed a business owner to electronically redeposit bounced checks by debiting the bad check writer’s account through the ACH. To help businesses take advantage of this new rule, Electric Checks began to represent bounced checks over a secure, online interface directly to the bank.
The success of this free service—Electric Checks gets paid from the fees charged to the bad check writer—has led us to bring other paper check innovations to businesses, such as Remote Deposit Capture.
Electric Checks seeks to provide a one-stop portal so that businesses that get paid by paper check can accept, deposit, and redeposit the paper check directly into a bank account through a computer with an Internet connection.
